Signiert, datiert. Verso in den Ecken Rest von altem Kleber. Henkel wurde in Zella in der Rhön geboren. Er absolvierte dort eine Bildhauerlehre. Danach folgten das Studium an der Fachschule für angewandte Kunst in Leipzig. Von 1956-1958 studierte er bei Waldemar Grzimek und Theo Balden an der Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee.
Watercolor, pencil, charcoal on paper. Signed, dated. Verso the edges with rest of old glue.
Henkel was born in Zella in the Rhön. He completed an apprenticeship as a sculptor there. This was followed by studies at the technical college for applied arts in Leipzig. From 1956-1958, he studied under Waldemar Grzimek and Theo Balden at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art.
