Gerahmt. – »Meine Malerei beruht auf drei Säulen – ich bearbeite sowohl antike und christliche Mythologien, aber auch zeitgemäße soziale Inhalte. Das politische und gesellschaftliche Leben mit genremäßigen und trivialen Anspielungen stehen dabei im Mittelpunkt meiner Darstellungen. Die Landschaftsmalerei in Aquarell- und Acryltechnik gehört zum dritten Darstellungsgebiet. Dabei geht es nicht um die reine Sachtreue oder um ein bloßes Kopieren dessen, was die Augen erblicken – sondern darum, dass künstlerisches Tun aus der Vorstellung und der Imagination geschöpft wird.« (Dieter Matthäus Homepage)
